Plagiarism Screening

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Politics and Democracy undergo plagiarism and self-plagiarism screening using Turnitin plagiarism detection software. The journal has implemented this screening process since Volume 1, Issue 1 to ensure the originality and integrity of its published works. Based on the similarity report generated by Turnitin, the Managing Editor evaluates each submission and decides whether to (1) reject the manuscript outright, (2) request clarification or revision from the author(s) in cases of minor similarity, or (3) proceed to the peer-review process if the manuscript meets the journal’s originality standards. The journal upholds a strict anti-plagiarism policy and does not tolerate any form of plagiarism, duplication, or unethical publication practices.
