Applied Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Technology (APPT)

General Information

The Applied Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Technology (APPT) publish original research articles, review papers, and short communications in the field of pharmacology and pharmaceutical sciences. Manuscripts should be prepared in clear English and submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.

All manuscripts must be written following the structure and formatting style described below. Submissions that do not comply with the journal format will be returned to the authors before peer review.

Manuscript Structure

Each manuscript should include the following sections in order:

  1. Title Page
  2. Article type (Research Article, Review Article, or Short Communication)
  3. Title of the article (Cambria, 14 pt, Bold, Centered, Maximum 20 words)
  4. Author names and affiliations (numbered accordingly)
  5. Corresponding author with a valid email address
  6. Abstract
  7. Introduction
  8. Materials and Method
  9. Result and Discussion
  10. Conclusion
  11. References

Abstract

The abstract should summarize the study background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions in one paragraph, not exceeding 250 words. Avoid references and undefined abbreviations.

Keywords: Provide up to 5 keywords separated by commas.

Introduction

The Introduction should clearly explain the background and significance of the study, supported by recent and relevant literature. It must describe the current state of knowledge, identify the research gap (unexplored or inconsistent aspects of the field), and justify the need for the study.

The objectives should be explicitly stated at the end of this section. The Introduction should be concise, coherent, and informative, with a maximum length of 2000 words. References must follow the Vancouver style, numbered according to their appearance in the text.

Materials and Methods

This section should describe all materials, reagents, and procedures in sufficient detail to allow replication. Include chemical names, purity or grade, and manufacturer. For biological or natural samples, specify the species, strain, source, part used, collection site, and authentication details.

All instruments should be listed with their model and manufacturer (e.g., Shimadzu UV-1800 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, Shimadzu), and operational parameters should be clearly stated.

The experimental workflow should be described logically, covering sample preparation, analysis, and data processing. Statistical or analytical methods must be specified, including the software used (e.g., SPSS version 26, IBM Corp.).

For studies involving human or animal subjects, include ethical approval details (name of committee and approval number).

Results and Discussion

Results must be presented clearly and objectively, supported by tables, figures, or graphs when necessary. Avoid repeating data between text and figures/tables. Each figure and table should be numbered sequentially and accompanied by a descriptive title and legend.

The discussion should interpret the results in comparison with previous studies, explain the underlying mechanisms, highlight novelty, and acknowledge limitations. This section must form a single, integrated narrative rather than two separate parts. Statistical significance should be reported where applicable.

Conclusion

The Conclusion should summarize the key findings and their implications without repeating detailed data or discussions. Authors should highlight how their study contributes to the advancement of applied pharmacology or pharmaceutical technology.

Recommendations for future research or practical applications may be included where appropriate.

Acknowledgments (Optional)

Mention any funding sources, institutions, or individuals who contributed to the study but are not listed as authors.

Conflict of Interest Statement

Authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest. If none exist, state: “The authors declare no conflict of interest related to this work.”

References

References must follow the Vancouver Style, numbered consecutively according to their order of appearance in the text.
